This home is loaded with lots of extras that you won’t have to pack to bring with you: LINEN AND TOWELS FOR 16 PEOPLE. We provide a beach cart to haul your beach goodies. We supply umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys for your use on the beach. 2 surf type fishing rods and equip. You can ride on the bicycles or play basketball in the driveway or pool.

All the bathrooms have wall-mounted hairdryers for your convenience. There are seven TVs, two VCRs, and two DVD players. All bedrooms have clock radios with CD player, and the recreation room has a stereo unit and a foosball table. Also, a mini frig is located on the lower floor to allow easy access to drinks while using the pool and hot tub.

You also have FREE unlimited video and video game rentals at a nearby rental store(Ocean Atlantic Rentals), baby furnishings, books, games, and puzzles. In addition a game table for playing chess, checkers etc. is located in the loft area. There is also a sitting area on the middle floor for reading or relaxing. There is a long driveway for rollerblading, and the driveway also serves as a canvas for your youngsters work of art using sidewalk chalk. There is also a huge lawn to play on.

Level #1 Ground floor–Bedroom with 2 trundle beds each with (double on bottom and twin on top ), Rec.room with love seat and queen sleep sofa, ( T.V, VCR, DVD, Stereo, Foosball table). This level has a closet which contains baby eq. ,books, games, puzzles etc. Bathroom with access from inside house and the pool-hot tub area. Covered deck with hammock and outside shower. There are 2 park grills and a fish cleaning table outside the pool area. THE POOL IS PROTECTED: by a high fence and 2 gates with latching device. In order to open the gate you must reach over the top of the gate. This prevents small children from entering the pool area.

Level #2 Second floor–Bedroom with king and priv. bath, pvt. access to deck rear of house. Bedroom with queen and priv. bath, priv.access to deck rear of house. Bedroom with 2 twin beds and priv. bath, pvt.access to front deck. Washer and Dryer. There is a sitting area for reading or just relaxing on this level. It also has access to the rear deck. The rear deck on this level contains a porch swing which has been a popular spot.

There is a 1/2 Bath between the 2nd and 3rd levels.

Level #3 Third floor–Bedroom with king and priv. bath, pvt.access to rear deck, full kitchen, dining room and great room. Acess to front deck and rear deck. Gas fireplace. Beautiful views from the this level. Lots of deck furniture on this level. A table to enjoy your morning breakfast on the rear deck while overlooking the Currituck Golf Course (Tee #3)and the beautiful view. There are Ocean Views from the front deck.

Level #4 The loft area is a nice get away spot to read and unwind. There is a chess game table on this level. There are Ocean Views from the loft.

It takes a couple of minutes to walk to the beach. The beach access is at the end of the street. There is no parking allowed along the street, but if someone needed to be dropped off ,that would not present a problem.

This past Aug 6-13 the fishing was wonderful along the beach. One morning I was determined to bring home some fish that I caught and we would have fish for lunch. Well, I was able to catch approx. 40 fish (croakers, spot, sea mullet and some small blue fish. So, I would imagine it should be similar fishing when you are there next year.  There are 2 rods for fishing in the ocean…not huge surf rods…quite manageable..maybe 7ft. If you have any sturdy freshwater tackle it would probably be o.k. The fish aren’t huge, but alot of fun to catch.

The bait can be purchased from any local fishing tackle store or even the grocery store. I prefer to use cut squid. You purchase it in a small box about a pound or so for about $3.99. It is enough for alot of fishing. The squid comes frozen.

I will send you a letter in the mail with a drawing of how to present the bait on the hook.

There is also fishing to the north of the house at a location known as the Whalehead Club. Some folks who stayed in our house from North Carolina caught alot of catfish in that area. It is on the sound side of the island. I don’t know alot about fishing in that area. It is a few miles north.

I will be able to get you visitors info in the mail with the fishing info.

I’m not sure of your experiences in ocean fishing…It is best fishing early a.m.-late p.m. or on the incoming tide. The bait shop will have tide charts for you to determine the best time. Always best early or late , regardless of the tide.

BTW, while fishing in the early morning I was entertained by several dophins that were swimming by . The pelicans are alot of fun to watch, too.

Behind the house we saw deer several days and a grey fox.

Late evening just before dark was the best time to see the deer.
